Years ago, I experienced my own health spiral.
With a master’s in Nutrition and Functional Medicine and a decade of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian, I thought I knew how to take care of my health.
I ate my veggies at every meal and even brewed my own kombucha!
I thought I was doing everything right, but then I experienced the perfect storm:
- Severe food poisoning during a trip to Costa Rica, followed by a visit to the ER, IV antibiotics, and two weeks of oral antibiotics.
- Worsening symptoms after I returned home: severe bloating (I looked six months pregnant), urgent trips to the bathroom, brain fog, disrupted sleep, worsening anxiety, and increasing food sensitivities.
I knew something was very wrong, but I didn’t know exactly what.
I tried to find an expert to help me, but no one could provide lasting solutions for my symptoms.
