Pomegranate Citrus Green Tea
This recipe is as delicious and refreshing as it is good for you! A win-win! It tastes like fruit punch, but a grown-up version for adults who don't want the added sugars. Green tea and pomegranate are two superfoods that warrant a place in your daily routine. Green tea is very high in antioxidants, which makes it an ally on your journey to achieving your weight loss goal (or maintaining your weight). It contains catechins, potent antioxidants that can boost metabolism and may also promote fat burning.Green tea and pomegranate juice are also rich in polyphenols. Polyphenols nourish the beneficial microbes in your gut microbiome. A healthy gut microbiome makes for a healthy body! And an added bonus is the tea blend that I use for this recipe also contains nettles, spearmint, and mallow flowers. This blend supports your body's natural detoxification pathways while providing nourishment to your gut microbiome.

Notes
You can buy Citrus Detox Tea (used in this recipe) at Natural Grocers or online here: https://tiestatea.com/products/citrus-detox?variant=31878733889633 Pom brand is a good choice for 100% pure pomegranate juice. It is the caffeine and catechin content of green tea that provides these benefits, so I recommend drinking it primarily before noon to avoid it affecting your sleep.
